An Analysis of Open System Interconnection Reference Model
Abstract
The Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI) is a conceptual model that characterizes and standardizes the internal functions of a communication system by partitioning it into abstraction layers. The OSI model depicts how data communications should take place. It splits the functions or processes into seven groups that are defined in different types of layers.
